Arrival at Colombo – Pinnawala – Sigiriya
Whilst you are arriving International Airport, you will be picked up by our tour agent. From the airport, we will embark on the journey to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can see how the giant animals are looked after. The river bath of these animals is really exhilarating to behold. Feeding these wild animals can be seen at 9 am, 1 pm, and 5 pm. And their river bath is at 10 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. More than 90 elephants are currently there at this orphanage. Next, you will visit Dambulla – the rock cave temple that is filled with a total of 153 statues of Buddha. About 80 caves can be seen in the vicinity. Among them, 5 are major and most relevant. After that, you can enjoy climbing up the 1200 steps toward the top of Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This climbing may be tiring, but it is worth it. When you reach your hotel in Sigiriya, check into your hotel and have relaxed sleep.
Kandy
Finish your hearty breakfast and do check out formalities. You will be then transferred to Kandy – the heritage city. See the beautiful scenery on the side of the road on the way to your hotel. Step off at Matale Spice garden. After checking into your hotel, take a rest for some time. Have lunch and then you will go to visit the Buddhist Temple where you can see the tooth of Buddha as a relic. Roam around this beautiful city to get knowledge about its history and culture. Then, we will go to Kandy Lake. Simply walk around this splendid lakeside. In the evening, you will attend the Kandy dance show. From the main market, you can purchase handicrafts and other knick-knacks. After a full-day entertainment, return to your room to have your dinner and good sleep at night.
Nuwara Eliya
Relish a tasty at the Hotel. As soon as you are done with all check-out formalities in the hotel, we start the trip to Nuwara Eliya. This hill station is filled with sheets of tea estates. The 3-hour up and down journey may make you exhausted but a pitstop at some tourist spots on the way will help to regain your energy. Ceylon Tea Museum is an important spot from where you can collect knowledge about tea powder processing. Nearby this museum, you can see the vintage tea factory. After this visit, continue our journey to Nuwara Eliya. Ramboda Waterfalls is situated near this tea museum. You can capture pictures of yourself with beautiful scenery as its backdrop. If you are devout, you pay a visit to the Sita devi Temple and Anjaneya temple en route to Nuwara Eliya. It is believed that at this place where Sita Devi Temple is situated, Ravana kept Sita captive and at the Anjaneya Temple, Lord Anjaneya first landed on the pearl of the Indian Ocean. Together with these famous spots, Pidurutalagala – the tallest mountain in the island nation will also be visited. When reaching the hotel, do check in and doze up.
Ella
Eat healthy in your breakfast. After checking out from the hotel, travel to the mountainside of Ella will be started. On the way to Ella, Peradeniya's garden will be visited. There are locations in this mountainside that are connected to the classic Epic Ramayana. Famous Ravana Cave, where Sita Devi was imprisoned by Ravana is now covered by 81-foot-high waterfalls called Ravana Waterfalls and a lake is there at the base of this waterfall, where Sita Devi had taken bath. Because of the stunning beauty of this place, Ella is a favorite of nature lovers. As Ella is situated at an altitude of 1040 meters from the sea level, this place has a good climate also. The night stay will be at a good hotel in Ella.
Yala National Park
Early morning, you will be picked up from the hotel and taken to Sri Lanka’s famous wildlife park - Yala National Park. The presence of leopards increases this park’s popularity. About 50 leopards are present in this park. This park has five blocks in which only the first and fifth blocks are open to tourists to take care of this natural habitat. Though Sri Lanka has more than 20 national parks, varieties of animals in this Yala Park draws the attention of tourists. Jeep safari along the sides of lagoons and grassy plains will assure you that you will spot much wildlife. If possible, take a zoom lens while entering this park. On reaching your hotel in Yala, have your dinner and a heavy sleep after the tiring but eventful day.
Bentota
The sixth day of your Sri Lankan tour will be spent at the beachside. As soon as you finish your breakfast, we will kick off our trip to Bentota. Bentota is blessed with its beautiful beaches. The weather, the greenery, and the sandy beaches will scintillate you while spending time on this beach. Enjoy swimming in the warm water and sunbath on its silver sands. This beach hosts many aquatic sports. Choose any of them to get its thrill and fun. Be back at your waterfront hotel in Bentota and have a restful sleep.
Let this day be kicked off by the tour to Bentota city. Visit the beautiful Brief garden. Formerly, this garden was a rubber estate. This tropical garden was designed according to Sri Lankan traditions. Madu river covers 150 acres of the land area containing 14 mangroves. In this mangrove environment, different kinds of flora and fauna are living. Go for a river safari at Madu river enjoying the breathtaking atmosphere of these mangroves. The next stop is at Kosgoda Turtle hatchery to get to see the baby turtles. In this hatchery, you can see disabled turtles that are taken care of here. Later in the evening come back to your hotel and take a rest.
Colombo
Soon after having your morning breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, check out your hotel and start your trip to Colombo. This ancient city is a money-making city in Sri Lanka. Once you reach there, do check-in formalities at the pre-booked hotel. And go sightseeing in this mega city. You can see the mixture of colonial and modernized impressions in its vivid architecture. Visit the popular Colombo Racecourse. Then go to Pettah floating market where you can experience unique shopping. Next is the national monument. Visit Independence memorial hall and Galle Face Green to complete the sightseeing tour. You can go outside of your hotel to get the exact feel of bustling nightlife on Colombo street and nightclubs. Have a good sleep at the Colombo hotel at night.
Bid farewell
On this concluding day of your Sri Lankan trip. Enjoy your wonderful breakfast and pack your baggage and depart from your hotel. Advance to the International Airport to fly back to your home town.
